Sara E. Popkin, M.D.

Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry

Dr. Popkin completed both her general psychiatry residency and a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Popkin graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor’s degree in English. Following college, she taught eighth grade English in Harlem as part of Teach For America and earned a Master’s in Teaching from Pace University.

She received her medical degree from Tulane University and was honored with the Gold Humanism in Medicine Award. During her psychiatry training, she developed a special interest in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorders. She is excited to be returning to the Princeton area to join the multidisciplinary treatment team at ARA.
