 Dr. Matthew Brightman obtained his B.A. in Psychology and Clinical Psychology degree Doctoral (Psy.D) with a Developmental Disabilities Concentration from C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville, N.Y. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with his B.A. in Psychology and was a C.W. Post Honors Program and Merit Fellowship participant. 

After competing his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Dr. Brightman was a clinician and psychologist at the Trinitas Regional Medical Center Children’s Crisis Intervention Service and Children’s Intermediate Unit in Elizabeth N.J. Prior to joining ARA, Dr. Brightman was a psychologist at Children’s Specialized Hospital in Hamilton, N.J. 

Dr. Matthew Brightman has extensive training and experience in psychological testing and individual child, adolescent and adult psychotherapy. He is skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Social Skills group therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy. He has extensive experience in the areas of ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Disruptive Behavior Disorders, OCD, Depressive Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disorders and Learning Disabilities and Psychological Testing.
